Mechanic village shut down over protest against taxation

  an eye witness the cause of the protest was the taskforce official who came along  side police officers to collect #10,700 tax payment from cash shop in the site.On seeing the task force officers,those at the site refused to pay due to the large collected from them even when they don't have the money.when the task officers did not get positive response they decide to lock the shop, on the process the worker became furious violently attacked them and the police, when the worker was hauling stone on them the policemen on the ground couldn't handle the situation  and reinforcement was sent to help quell the situation.When DSP George okeafor confirmed  the report he said that the police where yet to ascertain the cause of the protest at the time of filling this report.
He confirmed that police officer Corporal Okorie was inured during the prorest.
